Netflix viewers really loved rom-coms this year.

The streaming service revealed some year-end data and teen romantic comedies "The Kissing Booth" and "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" landed atop the list of most rewatched original movies in 2018.

We have to take Netflix at its word, since their viewing data is entirely private. And even the lists they did release are nebulous, since they come with the disclaimer: "Ranking on this list has no relation to overall viewing."

For instance, Netflix says 50 percent of viewers of those two rom-coms watched more than once. But how many viewers were there? It could be 2 million or 2,000, for all we know (though judging by the social media explosion over both films, probably more than 2,000).

Still, at least the data provides some insight into what's popular on Netflix. The company also revealed the shows with the highest "binge quotient" (highest average watch time per viewing session). The top five are "On My Block," "Making a Murderer: Part 2," "13 Reasons Why" Season 3," "Last Chance U: INDY," and "Bodyguard."

Netflix also listed its breakout stars, determined by growth in Instagram followers. Coming in first are the "Queer Eye" guys, collectively, followed by "To All the Boys" leading lady Lana Condor. Her co-star and the Internet's new boyfriend, Noah Centineo, ranked seventh.
