Summer is here on "Stranger Things" Season 3 and it's brought the teenage wasteland known as a new mall.

School is out in the first trailer for Netflix's supernatural drama. It's 1985, several months after the events of Season 2. Tweens Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Max (Sadie Sink) and Will (Noah Schnapp) are playing pranks, enjoying the sunny outdoors, and visiting the new Starcourt mall.

But as is usually the case in Hawkins, Indiana, sinister threats lurk underneath the surface. And as the trailer briefly teases, a new, terrifying monster emerges from the Upside Down.

There's a lot to unpack in the trailer and the new photos (below) released by Netflix: Steve (Joe Keery) is working at the mall's ice cream shop and his bromance with Dustin continues; Billy (Dacre Montgomery) is still flirting with the ladies as a lifeguard at the pool; and Nancy (Natalia Dyer) and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) appear to have jobs at the Hawkins newspaper.

Meanwhile, Chief Hopper (David Harbour) is looking spiffy in printed shirts and possibly going on a date (!), is it with Joyce (Winona Ryder)?

We also get glimpses of new cast members Cary Elwes as the mayor, Jake Busey as a local reporter, and Maya Hawke as Steve's co-worker.

"Stranger Things" Season 3 premieres July 4 on Netflix.
