We meet the boys. Andy gets diagnosed with HIV, Simon breaks up with his boyfriend, Freddy gets a callback, and Conrad gets fired. How does Andy cope? Why does Simon hate sex? What's next for Freddy and Conrad's professional futures?

Special guest star Anthony Rapp appears to help Andy figure out his next move. Conrad makes an unexpected career decision. Meanwhile, Simon is busy getting an education from the friendly, neighborhood gym slut and Freddy is busy denying his feelings for Andy.

Conrad's new career path seems to be working out, much to the dismay of Simon. Freddy forces Andy to go on a run just to get him out of the house. While on a run through the park, Andy meets Tom and the two consummate their lust in a way only gay men can. Is Andy really attracted to him or is he just pacifying his self-mourning?

What's a condom anyway? Conrad and Freddy discuss sero-discordant sex, while Andy and Tom discuss the merits of condom usage. Later, Andy and Freddy cut loose in a much needed night out that all becomes a bit much for Andy when he descends into a painful bout of self-pity. Meanwhile Simon is having second thoughts about how he's chosen to deal with Andy's diagnosis.

Andy self-medicates with some meaningless sex and in what is quickly becoming a habit, Simon gets school by the boys on life after diagnosis. Conrad's career starts to affect the boys in unexpected ways--particularly Simon. Andy comes to terms with what Tom means and represents, and all the boys are left with a sense of 'what comes next?'.

As Andy and Conrad both process potentially career-launching opportunites, the boys all take stock of how far they've come. Andy and Simon run into each other for the first time in months. Freddy and Andy have some unfinished business to take care of, and Andy finally goes to therapy to confront the past few months.
