Up New Generation (2000-2021) - 21 Up New Generation Episodes and Ratings

21 Up New Generation Plot

In the year 2000, as a new century opened, the documentary 7 Up 2000 was broadcast on BBC1. Following in the footsteps of 7 Up, the award-winning and highly acclaimed World In Action documentary that started in 1964, 7 Up 2000 began a fresh journey with a new generation of children, each one aged seven in the year 2000. The programme featured children from all over the UK, from hugely varied backgrounds, all with very different personalities and interests. We filmed each child at school and play, to try to build a true portrait of their lives and get a glimpse of their Britain at the beginning of a new millennium. Seven years on, the same production team returned to these children as they reached 14, to see how they had changed. Now, in 2014, we've been back to them again as they approach the milestone of their 21st birthdays. Where will their lives have taken them now?

Up New Generation 21 Up New Generation aired on September 1st, 2014.
