BACK IN THE 70s WE READ THIS IN ONE OF MY CHICANO STUDIES CLASSES AT CAL STATE NORTHRIDGE....ALWAYS A FAVORITE...AND WAS ANXIOUSLY AWAITING THE MOVIE ...I WAITED A LONG TIME! I AM ON MY WAY TO VIEW IT,....HOPE IT IS AS GOOD AS THE BOOK...AND KUDOS TO DENNIS MARTINEZ...THE BOOKs ILLUSTRATOR...
