This was a very cool movie. Not a childs version of a vampire movie. The kids in it were awesome, enough gore for the hardcore vampire lovers. It... really left you pondiering the idea of what friendship really means. Full Review

Awesomely thrilling. Only those words can describe it. Once you see a bit of it, you can never stop. It's so attractive and the actors are amazing.... he perfect actors to be chosen for this thrilling film. Matt Reeves is an extraordinary director and every bit of the movie has been made perfect by his instructions. I could say more but I don't know how to write it down so I'll leave it here. "Cloverfield" director Matt Reeves hasn't ruined the elegant Swedish vampire story by remaking it. If anything, he's made some improvements, including the addition of a tense action-horror sequence in the middle of the film.Full Review

Key to the remake's ultimate success is the casting of the troubled young leads.Smit-McPhee and Moretz possess the soulful depth and pre-adolescent vulnerability necessary to keep it compellingly real.Full Review

The subtext of the relationship is not sexuality, as it is in "Twilight" or "True Blood," but rather the loneliness of children and their often unrecognized reservoirs of rage.Full Review

An imaginative and largely intact retelling of this gory, troubling, uniquely sweet and uniquely dark vampire tale.Full Review
