This movie, makes every bride-to-be think about the family she has to "marry" into; Jane Fonda(Coming Home fame),and Jennifer Lopez(brilliant star of ... Selena),match wits together."Charlie" finally meets the great man of her dreams and is set to marry him.The only trouble is,her beau's mother.Violet is a widow, and does anything to stir up trouble for her "precious" son.It is comical and hilarious, as the two ladies go head-to-head in the matrimonial "war of wits".Violet gets vicious and hateful, in her "reign" of iron.She suddenly has a change of heart ,when someone teaches her a few things about romance. I love Violet's mother-in-law,who is brilliant at the end of the film.She makes Violet learn a hard "lesson" about love.I applaud Fonda and Lopez and say Bravo, for their sweet performances here !
