My father recently passed away and this movie came on in the middle of the night while I was awake doing some thinking. It seemed as if this story coming on was meant to be. It was refreshing and hopeful in a time where many movies lack real storylines and substance. This movie isn't a shoot em up flick or a mindless fast paced display for the simple minded. This movie had heart and intelligence

This mid-19th century tale of survival after the death of a parent is still compelling today, and its message of strength and the importance of family continues to resonate. Full Review
