One of the funniest movies I\'ve ever seen. My seventy-five-year-old mother, who identified with Kathleen Turner\'s role as the one moment ditzy the next moment terrifyingly stone-faced serial murderer of a mom, loved it too. This is John Waters at his best. Not just camp, but superb satire on American banality and seeming virtue juxtaposed with the lowdown sexual and crude and macabre aspects of who we really are. All propelled by a wild unpredictable plot that makes you wonder *********** will try to get away with next. An original comic masterpiece.
