  • Surrogates, which borrows tone and content freely from "I, Robot," is all windup and no pitch. show more

  • A mechanical sci-fi'er absent of logic or emotions. It functions as an expensive place-filler on the Disney release schedule and, as such, will be welcomed by only the least discriminating thriller fans. show more

  • Among cheesy sci-fi movies meant to make you think, I'll take Surrogates over "District 9." Both are highly derivative, but in the course of recombining the basic chromosomes of "Blade Runner," "The Matrix" and especially "I, Robot," Surrogates nudges the robo-thriller in an interesting direction. show more

Not as good and "Sixth Sense" but fairly well done. As with all SciFi movies there must be the suspension of reality and as long as the story fills in all the plot holes it works. This movie pushed the envelope at little too far. Too many holes in the concept. Worth a veiwing, just don't buy it. You probably won't want to watch it again.

Clearly Outstanding. Great acting and a compelling script. Apparently most people 'just don't get it'. This is Not your typical Action Movie, nor just a Sci-Fi Thriller ... It does have a message and it is delivered in a very compelling fashion! The experience is enhanced if you like Bruce Willis (who, once again proves he Can Act) as well as Radha Mitchell, Rosamund Pike, James Cromwell, and Ving Rhames- some of my favorites.

Mark and I saw this and we thought it was pretty good. Not great but worth seeing. Not one of B W best movies but it was okay. We do not regret seeing this one at all.
