Plot Summary
This documentary account of the events surrounding the 2000 U.S. presidential election examines the disputed vote in Florida and the myriad legal challenges by both political parties. Governor Jeb Bush and Secretary of State Katherine Harris are portrayed as conspirators in a bid to vault George W. Bush into the presidency through voting irregularities and a flawed recount process. The subsequent Supreme Court decision to halt the recount is viewed as nothing less than an assault on democracy.
