A cute little sleeper film. It grows on you each time you see it. Definitely see in when you're in the mood to make pies. It's a bout the choices we make in life -- some good, some bad -- and pursuing our dreams. The characters are flawed, but they are real. There are no clear villians or heros in this piece. Even the husband, as reprehensible as he is, has some redeeming qualities. You can see

The characters really made the whole movie believable. Its sorry, that it can really be true to life, thats why some people may not like it. Life, just ain't perfect, and there is no sugar coating it. We just can't get it right and I give Shelly all the credit for tying to make a happy ending.

This movie is wonderful!!! I really enjoyed it. I think a lot of women can identify with the characters in this movie. I saw it on cable and I'll be buying it to add to my collection this weekend. Hats off to mis Russell!! Your performance is wonderful girl!!!

Romantic? Charming? This is one of the blackest, most shallow, and depressing movies of all time. Nothing uplifting. Not a character worth empathizing with; they are all villians. A bad, implausable story told badly. Humorless. An episode of "Cheaters" filmed in pastel would be more entertaining. The requisite "coma" of soap operas and chick flicks. And not even a good pie recipe.
