After an arrest for DUI this summer, John Stamos still isn't out of the woods yet: The actor has been formally charged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney, and could face six months in jail.

The charges were handed down on Thursday, and Stamos was slapped with a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of a drug. That drug has never been specified, though reports of the incident, which occurred on June 12, stated that Stamos was "allegedly behaving strangely and driving erratically."

Stamos was arrested and hospitalized that night. Shortly thereafter, he checked himself into rehab for substance abuse, and spent 30 days at a treatment facility.

The actor has been in high demand lately, starring in the new Fox sitcom "Grandfathered" and producing and appearing on the upcoming "Full House" revival series, "Fuller House." Grandfathered" will not be affected. The status of his work on "Fuller House" is a bit murkier, though Stamos is only set to recur -- not star -- on that series.

Stamos was set to be arraigned in court on Friday.
