Enough about the Academy Awards. It's time to give maximum effort to the Saturn Awards, aka Nerd Oscars.

The genre awards show just released its 43rd annual nominations, and "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" led the pack with 11 nods. On the TV front, "The Walking Dead" slayed all with seven nominations, followed by "Westworld" with six, and "American Horror Story: Roanoke" with five. AMC had the most TV nods at 13, followed by The CW with 12, then Netflix with 11, and HBO at 9.

On the movie front, "The BFG" and "Doctor Strange" both got 10 nominations. "Captain America: Civil War" got eight, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" got seven, and "Arrival" and "The Jungle Book" got six.

Ryan Reynolds's "Deadpool" was ignored by the Oscars, but the Saturn Awards nominated him as Best Actor in a Film, and put "Deadpool" up for Best Comic-to-Motion Picture Release.

The 43rd annual Saturn Awards will be handed out June 28 in Burbank, CA.
