Lady Gaga is going a little bit country for "A Star Is Born."

The singer is starring in a remake of the classic movie (which has already been made three times previously) opposite Bradley Cooper, who is directing. The first image from the film, which is in production now, shows Stefani Germanotta (Lady Gaga's real name) singing into a microphone with Cooper playing guitar next to her.

The movie also has an official synopsis:

Cooper plays Jackson Maine, a country music star who is on the brink of decline when he discovers a talented unknown named Ally (Germanotta). As the two begin a passionate love affair, Jack coaxes Ally into the spotlight, catapulting her to stardom. But as Ally's career quickly eclipses his own, Jack finds it increasingly hard to handle his fading glory.

"A Star Is Born" was previously made in 1937, 1954, and 1976, the last version starring Kris Kristofferson and Barbra Streisand.

Germanotta and Cooper filmed some concert scenes at the Coachella music festival, and festivalgoers were used as extras. She has written and recorded several original songs for the movie.

"A Star Is Born" is slated to hit theaters Sept. 28, 2018.
