"Game of Thrones" is on fire right now, but over in Georgia, "The Walking Dead" Season 8 is not-so-quietly preparing for its own fiery midseason finale.

Season 8 will premiere on Sunday, October 22, launching the All Out War between Team Negan and Team Rick. The midseason finale is Episode 8, and won't air until December. But when it does air, expect it to go BOOM.

The Spoiling Dead Fans gets updates from its fans on the ground in the Atlanta area, and it sounds like there was no way to avoid hearing the booms coming out of midseason finale filming earlier this month. As TSDF put it, "The midseason finale already looking like a Michael Bay film." (The photo above with Daryl Dixon is from the Comic-Con trailer, which came out in mid-July, before these midseason finale filming updates.)

Here are some written updates, photos, and even a video:

Daaaamn. That's going to suck for Alexandria, but you could argue the community has suffered worse than that in the past. They must be so glad Rick Grimes showed up to bring all this trouble!

The Season 8 premiere is the 100th episode, and earlier spoilers suggest that episode will include an attack on the Saviors' base, The Sanctuary. So this could be payback. All's fair in love and war, so we can't be surprised if there are more BOOMS ahead, on both sides.

"The Walking Dead" Season 8 starts Sunday, Oct. 22 at 9 p.m. on AMC. Watch the Season 8 trailer again to prepare.
