"Sons of Anarchy" creator Kurt Sutter told us not to worry about "Mayans MC," and he was right.

The upcoming spin-off still hasn't officially been picked up, but it is on track. FX is "confident" in the show's future, according to the network's CEO, John Landgraf. While speaking at a TCA event, the exec revealed that "Mayans MC" is likely to get a series pickup in roughly three months, as Deadline reports.

"I'm really excited [about] where we are in the process on 'Mayans,'" he said. "I'm very confident about the future of the spin-off."

His comments come after reports in early July that the show had to undergo reshoots and recasting as well as replace Sutter with Norberto Barba as director. Sutter proactively tried to allay fans' fears, informing us that "Sons of Anarchy" once went through the same process. Now, Landgraf's comments offer extra reassurance.

Additionally, the network used "Mayans MC" footage to promote its new streaming service, FX+, which Landgraf called "a good sign." It looks like "Mayans MC" should live up to its predecessor's legacy -- one motorcycle, prospect, and bullet at a time.
