Jerry Seinfeld is getting nostalgic in his upcoming Netflix stand-up comedy special.

In the trailer for "Jerry Before Seinfeld," the comedian goes back to his roots. He performs the special at New York's The Comic Strip, the club that helped launch his career, and reminisces about old jokes from his early days of stand-up.

The special also features never-before-seen footage of Seinfeld's childhood in Long Island, and the comedian makes quite a few quips about Cookie Crisp cereal, lack of helmets, and hands-off parenting in the '60s.

This is the first of two specials Seinfeld is filming for Netflix. They are part of a massive, lucrative deal that included the archive of his ride-along interview series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee," as well as new episodes. Seinfeld is also set to develop scripted and unscripted programming for the streaming service.

"Jerry Before Seinfeld" debuts Sept. 19 on Netflix.
