How is it already time for the last "Grey's Anatomy" episode of 2017?

It seems like Season 14 just started. Maybe that's because time flies when you're having fun, and Season 14 has been pretty great so far (especially last week's 300th episode).

Episode 8 is the fall finale, titled "Out of Nowhere," and co-showrunner Krista Vernoff told TVLine it's an "edge-of-your-seat action movie." Kevin McKidd (Owen Hunt) directed the episode, and he told TVLine the fall finale is "kind of like 'Speed' [without] the bus. It's a moving freight train, and then it hits this point at the end of the episode where you're like, 'What's going to happen?' It really is a classic and beautifully done cliffhanger episode."

Ah. Another cliffhanger. Such teases.

Here's ABC's full synopsis for the midseason finale:

A HACKER GETS INTO GREY SLOAN'S SYSTEM AND WREAKS HAVOC IN THE HOSPITAL, ON THE MIDSEASON FINALE OF ABC'S 'GREY'S ANATOMY'

"Out of Nowhere" - A hacker compromises the hospital's computer system, causing monitors, phones, labs and patient files to all go down. As technology fails them, Bailey attempts to keep the peace but chaos erupts and the doctors are forced to get creative in their methods to treat the patients, on the fall finale of "Grey's Anatomy," THURSDAY, NOV. 16 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network.

Guest starring is Stefania Spampinato as Carina DeLuca.

"Out of Nowhere" was written by William Harper and directed by Kevin McKidd.

That photo above is from this episode, so amid all the hacker drama we should also expect a bit more awkwardness in the (completely random) Owen/Carina/Arizona love triangle.

Here are two more photos, focusing on the hacker issue:

"Grey's Anatomy" airs the fall finale Thursday, November 16, and then next week is Thanksgiving, and we're out of luck until the show returns in 2018.
