Meet the firefighters! You already know Mer.

The "Grey's Anatomy" spinoff just got a release date, if not a title, and now we have a bunch of photos introducing the new characters. We already knew Dr. Ben Warren (Jason George) would be heading from "Grey's" to the spinoff, but now we know Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) herself will be in at least one episode.

Shonda Rhimes also told The Hollywood Reporter that, since Seattle Fire Station 19 is meant to be set close to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, there's "a lot of potential for cross pollination" between characters and locations, in "small ways or big ways.

It does make sense that a show about firefights would cross over with a hospital, since they both cover life-and-death emergencies. It will be fun to see who else beyond Ben and Mer shows up. (You'd think Ben's wife Dr. Miranda Bailey would be an obvious option.)

In the meantime, check out these photos of the characters. The cast is led by Jaina Lee Ortiz as Andy Herrera -- that's her with Meredith in two of the photos ABC shared. Grey Damon plays Jack Gibson, a lieutenant who has sparks with Andy, with Alberto Frezza as Ryan Tanner, a Seattle police officer who is also Andy's old flame. Yep, as TVLine put it, "#LoveTriangleAlert" already. Miguel Sandoval plays Andy's father, the captain of Seattle Fire Station 19. The cast also includes Jay Hayden, Danielle Savre, Okieriete Onaodowan, and Barrett Doss.
