Tessa Thompson may be ready to witness more threats to civilization alongside Chris Hemsworth.

The actress is poised to join her "Thor: Ragnarok" co-star in the upcoming "Men in Black" spinoff, Variety reports. Sources tell the publication that she is in talks for a role. So far, character details have not been revealed, but the film will somehow be connected to the 1997 original, which starred Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as secret agents tasked with monitoring aliens living on Earth and keeping their existence from the public.

Thompson previously shared the screen with Hemsworth in "Thor Ragnarok," playing the warrior Valkyrie, an ally of the crown prince of Asgard. The two actors saw their efforts pay off in terms of ticket sales; the 2017 movie made nearly $854 million in theaters around the world, according to Box Office Mojo.

The actress has other successes to her name as well. Her film credits also include movies like the 2014 Oscar-nominated drama "Selma" and 2015's "Creed." Additionally, she plays Charlotte Hale in HBO's acclaimed series "Westworld."

Needless to say, we're into the "Men in Black" spinoff's casting choices so far.
