"Better Call Saul" will be breaking bad in a more significant way in Season 4 of the AMC drama, as hinted at in this teaser full of ominous imagery.

The teaser doesn't show much, of course, but things seem to take a darker turn, with glimpses of gunshots, a car on fire, and Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) calmly saying, "Now is not a good time."

"Breaking Bad" creator Vince Gilligan told The Hollywood Reporter recently that the world of "Better Call Saul" will start merging more with the flagship series.

"It gets darker, it gets richer. It's still got funny in it, but on the Venn diagram of 'Breaking Bad' and 'Better Call Saul,' the overlap in the center is getting bigger and bigger," he said.

Gilligan added, "There is a very important character — I'm not promising you ever saw this character, but there was a very important character nonetheless from the 'Breaking Bad' era who we're going to meet this year."

That character is Lalo, who was mentioned in the very first scene that involved Saul (Bob Odenkirk) on "Breaking Bad." And judging by the boots seen in the teaser, we'll also get the Cousins. But might we see someone else too?

"Better Call Saul" Season 4 premieres August 6 on AMC.
