Jim heads back to the office at the start of the new teaser for "Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan."

Then things go boom. Then he gets shirtless. But let's not be creepy about it.  Pam wouldn't approve.

John Krasinski -- hot off "A Quiet Place," but forever Jim Halpert from "The Office" -- is the new Jack Ryan in Amazon's upcoming spy series.

Season 1 is composed of eight one-hour episodes, costarring Wendell Pierce ("The Wire") as James Greer, and Abbie Cornish ("Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri") as Cathy Mueller.

The series premieres on Amazon Prime Video August 31.

Here's the basic synopsis:

"Jack Ryan, an up-and-coming CIA analyst, is thrust into a dangerous field assignment for the first time. He uncovers a pattern in terrorist communication that has him up against a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale."

The first teaser, scene clip, came out back in October.

John Krasinski follows in the Jack Ryan footsteps of Alec Baldwin in "The Hunt for Red October" (1990), then Harrison Ford in both "Patriot Games" (1992) and "Clear and Present Danger" (1994). Years later, Ben Affleck was Jack Ryan in "The Sum of All Fears" (2002), and then Chris Pine for his own movie, "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit" (2014).

Krasinski's debut will stream on Amazon Prime Video starting August 31. Meanwhile, Krasinski's horror hit "A Quiet Place" arrives on DVD/Blu-ray this coming Tuesday, July 10.
