Apparently the chemistry test between Priyanka Chopra and Chris Pratt went "extremely well" -- Variety's words -- because she beat out a slew of hopefuls to join him in "Cowboy Ninja Viking."

The action movie is being directed by Michelle MacLaren, based on the Image Comics graphic novel following an assassin named Duncan (played by Pratt) who manifests the toughest skills of three different personas -- a cowboy, a ninja, and a viking.

According to Collider, Priyanka Chopra is in talks to play Sara Nix, "a psychologist who’s assigned to monitor Duncan, and who may or may not develop feelings for him despite the professional nature of their relationship."

"Cowboy Ninja Viking" is now in pre-production, with Universal already giving the potential blockbuster a June 28, 2019, release date.

"Quantico" and "Baywatch" star Priyanka Chopra just dropped out of an Indian movie after (reportedly) getting engaged to Nick Jonas. Chris Pratt just joined the rest of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" cast to support James Gunn and try to get him reinstated to direct the third movie, which is still on the books for a 2020 release.
