Mark-Paul Gosselaar, while out promoting his new Fox show, "The Passage," reveals he dated one of his "Saved by the Bell" costars back in the day.

Talking to Anna Faris for her "Unqualified" podcast, he admits he and Elizabeth Berkley were briefly an item.

"You know how it is," he tells Faris. "When you're working on a set, and we were young, there's no one around really. I mean, you work and live in a bubble."

The romance, however, sounds like it was chaperoned by his mom, who drove him to work every day. (The show began when he was 12 and ended when he was 19.) He shares, "People say, ‘Well didn't you go out?' Not really."

Then again, as he told People back in 2009, "All of us dated at one point or another — it was incestuous."

Berkley, by the way, recently shared on Instagram that she was (of course) "so excited" for Gosselaar's new show: "Oh yeah!!! Just driving and who do I see? My dear @mpgosselaar on a billboard for his new show!! Can’t wait!!! #imsoexcited #forreal #proudfriend"

"The Passage" premiered on January 14.

Gosselaar still stays in touch with his other "SBYB" costars, including (why not?) beating up Mario Lopez in a jujitsu session. And the duo also shared photos from 1989 and 2019 for a 30-year challenge (in response to the "10-year" challenge.)
