"Riverdale" actor Luke Perry was taken to the hospital Wednesday morning after reportedly suffering a stroke. His rep tells TMZ he's currently under observation there.

Paramedics arrived at Perry's home in Sherman Oaks, California, around 9:40 a.m., TMZ reports. They then took the actor to the hospital, where he remains now. His condition is not known.

Perry has been shooting scenes for "Riverdale" Season 3, which is currently in production. The actor plays Fred Andrews, father of Archie Andrews (KJ Apa). He has been with the CW series since the beginning.

Perry is still known for his role as Dylan McKay in the '90s series "Beverly Hills, 90210." Coincidentally, news broke on Wednesday that Fox had ordered a six-episode limited series with six of the show's original stars. Perry was not among them, however; the group includes Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling.

The actor's credits also include the upcoming Quentin Tarantino mystery crime film "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood."
