The pawnshop owner, Luo Kai has three daughters, the eldest daughter Wangdi, the second daughter Xindi, and the youngest daughter Aidi. When the Japanese army captured Kowloon, Aidi was violently tortured by the Japanese army and suffered a mental disorder.
