La Risa en Vacaciones

"La Risa en Vacaciones": The Cinematographic Phenomenon that Redefined Mexican Comedy. In 1988, popular Mexican cinema underwent a radical transformation with "La Risa en Vacaciones" Directed by René Cardona Jr. and produced by Televicine, this film challenged cinematic conventions by presenting a comedy without plot or traditional values. Pedro Romo, Pablo Ferrer and Paco Ibáñez became "Los Locos de la Risa", experts in playing pranks on the public in everyday places. This film series was initially advertised as a documentary, but it soon became clear that everything was meticulously planned. Despite this, audience laughter kept the film in theaters for 15 weeks, establishing a phenomenon that led to eight sequels. "La Risa en Vacaciones" represented a refreshing change in popular Mexican cinema by focusing on pure comedy, showing humorous situations from everyday life.
