Joan Collins as Evan Peters' grandmother? Yes, please.

"American Horror Story" Season 8 starts shooting around June 16, Ryan Murphy revealed in a pre-Emmy voting event. He had previously said the season would be set in the future, but not outer space, and he further clarified that by "future" he only meant "18 months from today."

In terms of tone, Murphy said of Season 8, "It's heightened. It's not necessarily as real and grounded as the past season. We're sort of getting back to Asylum, and Coven."

That's all he was willing to say about the tone/theme/plot. (Deadline said the show is rumored to be called "American Horror Story: Radioactive," but that's not official.)

The cast, as usual, is already stellar: Sarah Paulson and Kathy Bates are returning, along with Evan Peters as a comedic hair stylist, and newbie Joan Collins as his grandmother. Murphy said he's "talking" with Anjelica Huston and would love to add her to the cast, but she's not confirmed yet.

Since Season 8 starts filming in June, more information should be coming out in the next couple of months. And then we can look forward to arguably the best part of every AHS season -- FX's promos! If only the rest of the show consistently lived up to them.
