"American Horror Story" is getting nostalgic about '80s slasher movies.

The FX anthology's creator, Ryan Murphy, revealed Season 9's title in a teaser posted on Instagram.  Welcome to "American Horror Story: 1984."

The teaser opens with a girl in '80s-era clothing being chased by a masked killer wielding a knife.

The title and teaser hint that the season will pay homage to slasher flicks like "Friday the 13th" and "Nightmare on Elm Street."

So far, Emma Roberts is the only "AHS" alum who has been confirmed to return to the series. Murphy also previously announced that Olympian Gus Kenworthy will join the franchise to play her boyfriend.

Sarah Paulson is good bet to appear in Season 9, having appeared in all previous installments of "AHS." However, Evan Peters, who also has starred in every season, has indicated he will sit this one out.

"AHS: 1984" will premiere this fall on FX.
