Welcome to the $2 billion club, "Avengers: Infinity War."

The Marvel mega-superhero movie has now made more than $2 billion at the worldwide box office (not adjusted for inflation). It is only the fourth movie to hit that milestone and the first summer blockbuster to do so.

The other three members of this exclusive club are "Avatar" ($2.788 billion), "Titanic" ($2.188 billion) and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" ($2.068 billion). All of those films were released over the winter holidays.

"Infinity War," which was released in April, needed just 48 days to achieve the feat. On Monday, it finished the day with a global total of $2.002 billion, including $656.1 million in North America and $1.346 billion overseas. It is No. 5 at the domestic box office all time and No. 3 on the worldwide list.

The untitled sequel to "Infinity War" is slated for release May 3, 2019.
