"Black Panther" tickets are hard to come buy, even for the movie's stars.

Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o, who plays Nakia in the upcoming superhero flick, decided she'd like to attend an opening night showing, but when she went to purchase a pre-sale ticket, there wasn't one available. The actress shared the story in a video on Tuesday, and then tweeted it out Wednesday. Her tweet summarized her ironic experience, while her video included more details about how it all went down.

Nyong'o told her fans she tried to make the purchase shortly after advance tickets went on sale, only to be denied.

"Fifteen minutes later, I kid you not, 15 minutes later, I was trying to purchase tickets," she said, "and they are sold out. Sold out! ... I was unable to buy tickets to see 'Black Panther' on opening night. Wow."

There has been a lot of demand for presale tickets, that's for sure. The film sold more advance tickets in its first 24 hours than any other MCU film ever, THR reports. The fact that it is selling out is, of course, a good sign, even if it means Nyong'o won't be able to join in the opening night fun.

"Black Panther" opens on Feb. 16, so start looking for tickets immediately if you want to try to catch its first showing.
