Bradley Cooper shimmed his way to a Best Actor Oscar nod opposite Jennifer Lawrence in "Silver Linings Playbook," but he owes his impressive ballroom floor moves to a full dance card as a teen.

“I did very well in the bar mitzvah’s growing up,” Cooper tells host James Corden on the “Late Late Show” on Tuesday. “I couldn’t wait to get on the dance floor.”

Dancing, he says, was his “in” with the ladies.

Asked to reveal his “signature move,” Cooper responds, “I grew up when popping and break dancing was big.”

Though he insists he no longer breaks out those moves, Corden was able to coax the actor into boogying in front of the camera.

His dance skills, though, don’t really play well with his newest endeavor as executive producer of the TV series “Limitless,” which is based on his 2011 film of the same title.

"When we were shooting the film we actually thought this could be a serial in terms of story telling," he shares. “We could constantly tell stories with this guy. It’s such a great idea. It's such a great hook of the pill that can open up 100 percent of your brain."

"Limitless" premieres on Sept. 22 on CBS.
