Actors who've been hitting the non-stop promotional circuit for a big summer movie are bound to get a bit loopy after a while, and that's precisely what happened to "Ocean's 8" stars Cate Blanchett and Sarah Paulson during a recent visit to "Today." And after watching their ridiculously silly sit-down with anchor Hoda Kotb, you might dissolve in a fit of giggles, too.

The actresses stopped by "Today" on Tuesday to chat about their roles in the all-female "Ocean's Eleven" spinoff, but ended up mostly just talking loudly amongst themselves, throwing in the occasional joking barb at each other (two-time Oscar winner Blanchett said of Paulson's lone Emmy win, "That's nice") and wondering aloud if their off-the-rails exchange was being aired live (it was). It was enough to bring Kotb to tears -- of laughter, that is.

The host tried several times to steer the conversation back to "Ocean's 8," even bringing in co-host Savannah Guthrie for reinforcement, but by that time, it was too late.

"We didn't do anything but just be crazy people," Paulson said by way of apology toward the end of the interview.

We're totally okay with it. If "Ocean's 8" is even half as zany as this promo appearance, moviegoers are in for some fun.

The flick hits theaters this Friday, June 8.
