Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren are merging back into the "Fast" lane.

The two Oscar winners will appear in "Fast & Furious 9," reprising their roles from the eighth installment "The Fate of the Furious."

Star and executive producer Vin Diesel revealed the news Monday on his Instagram. He also promised that franchise newcomer John Cena will "completely shine in this movie."

In "Fate of the Furious," Theron played the cyberterrorist Cipher, who forced Dom (Diesel) to betray his family and work for her. She was last seen jumping out of a plane.

Mirren made a cameo as Magdalene Shaw, the mother of "Fast" bad-turned-good guys Deckard (Jason Statham) and Owen (Luke Evans). She also appears in the "Fast and Furious" spinoff "Hobbs and Shaw," opposite son Deckard and daughter Hattie (Vanessa Kirby).

"Fast and Furious 9" is slated for release May 22, 2020.
