Michael B. Jordan is ready for round 2 as Adonis Creed.

MGM and Warner Bros. released the first poster for "Creed II," the sequel to the 2015 hit that revived the "Rocky" franchise. Jordan reprises his role as up-and-coming boxer Adonis Johnson Creed, the son of Apollo Creed and the protege of Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone).

In the follow-up, Dolph Lundgren returns as Ivan Drago, the villain from "Rocky IV." Stallone is back, of course, as Rocky; he also wrote the screenplay. Unfortunately, the first movie's director, Ryan Coogler, was a bit busy with a little film called "Black Panther" and couldn't direct the sequel. Instead, Steven Caple Jr. takes over the helm.

The first trailer for "Creed II" will hit tomorrow. In the meantime, check out the official synopsis and poster:

Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed. Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life. Facing an opponent with ties to his family's past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring. Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what's worth fighting for, and discover that nothing's more important than family. Creed II is about going back to basics to rediscover what made you a champion in the first place, and remembering that, no matter where you go, you can't escape your history.
