A "Friends" revival is still just a dream we hope comes true, but in the meantime, one of the stars of the iconic sitcom will appear in the 10th season of another beloved comedy that is in the midst of its a second run.

David Schwimmer is set for a recurring role on "Will & Grace," THR reports. The actor will appear in five episodes, according to Deadline, and he'll play a new character that romances Grace (Debra Messing). He's one of multiple guest stars that will pop up over the course of the show's 10th season, so there's a lot to look forward to.

Messing celebrated the news with a tweet Wednesday. She tagged Schwimmer and wrote that "Grace is getting a new [love] interest," using the heart emoji in place of the word love and a slew of exclamation marks.

That's bad news for fans still pulling for Grace and her ex-husband, Leo (Harry Connick Jr.), but at the very least, it'll be fun to see Schwimmer on the show. It feels like early 2000s sitcom worlds are colliding, and we like it.

In addition to Schwimmer, fans will see Alec Baldwin, Chelsea Handler, and Mary McCormack on the show, so Season 10 should be an exciting one.

"Will & Grace" returns Thursday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
