Because Fox was "too cheap" to buy a Super Bowl ad, Deadpool spent Sunday night promoting his sequel on Twitter.

Talk about maximum effort!

However, not one to miss an opportunity for self-promotion, the official Deadpool Movie account live tweeted the big game in classic Merc With a Mouth fashion.

Whoever tweets from the account -- whether it's Ryan Reynolds, the movie's writers, a combination, or other -- really did give maximum effort. "Deadpool" tweeted dozens of times during the Pats/Eagles game, from Pink's National Anthem to the coin toss, Justin Timberlake's halftime show, etc.

Now that's dedication.

"Deadpool 2" opens May 18.
