More shots are being fired in the war between Marvel and DC fans.

"Avengers: Endgame" isn't just raking in money ($2.2 billion and counting), the Marvel Studios capstone also received rave reviews from critics and fans alike.

DC's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" similarly cleaned up at the box office, but was universally savaged. And yet, as Twitter user @daamiedwards pointed out, their endings share many visual and thematic similarities:

In the side-by-side images, a core trio from "Endgame" (Iron Man, Captain America, Thor) advance on Thanos, while the core trio from "BvS" (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman) advance on Doomsday.

Then, both Superman and Tony Stark sacrifice themselves by using a weapon, after which their significant others (Lois Lane and Pepper Potts) give them a farewell kiss. And that's followed by somber memorials for the two heroes.

This isn't the only time someone's noticed similarities between the movies. In a YouTube video, Film Gob openly wonders if "Endgame" directors Anthony and Joe Russo ripped off "BvS" director Zack Snyder.

Of course, these observations will drive an even further, tiresome wedge between Marvel and DC fans.
