Shannon Purser, the actress who played Barb in "Stranger Things" Season 1, scored her first Emmy nod on Thursday, but not everyone was happy for her.

After the nominations were announced, Emmy-related tweets quickly began piling up, including many questioning Purser's nod. Some people were flat-out confused. The idea of her scoring a nomination with relatively limited screen time was evidently shocking; different Twitter users estimated that she appeared for "20 seconds" and "like 90 seconds."

The most popular complaint, however, was the fact that she was nominated over other actors. People tweeted the names of numerous actors and actresses they considered more deserving, including Purser's "Stranger Things" co-star "Mr. Robot"), and "American Gods"), among others -- never mind that they wouldn't all have even qualified for the outstanding guest actress in a drama series category.

For her part, Purser was thrilled, as she should be. She tweeted that she was "so incredibly honored" and congratulated the others up for 2017 Emmy Awards.

We'll see if Purser takes home an award when the show airs on Sept. 17.
