'Fantastic Four' Cast Has Not Seen Their Own Movie
Marvel fan boys and girls are eagerly anticipating the chance to see the rebooted "Fantastic Four" in theaters on Friday, and apparently castmates Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell and Michael B. Jordan can be counted among those who will see it for the first time too.
"I'm going to try to see it opening night with a real audience," Mara, who plays Sue Storm, tells BBC's Newsbeat.
The 32-year-old actress and her co-stars, along with movie critics, have not seen the final version of the film.
Perhaps it is good then that the rising stars have yet to see the completed project, as Teller, who plays Reed Richards, echoed Mara, adding doubt about the actioner receiving any praise from reviewers.
"Rarely are films of this size critically well received," he explains. "We tried to make something coming from a more dramatic standpoint so we're hoping that people enjoy it and recognize that we're trying to do something original."
In "Fantastic Four," a group of space travelers acquire incredible super powers after they are exposed to radiation during a trip to an alternate universe. The film hits theaters Friday. Watch the trailer below.
