Jennifer Garner is Hollywood's Everymom, and with her cute dimples and sweet voice, she can even make "Go the F--k to Sleep" feel like a warm hug.

Garner is not the first celeb to read Adam Mansbach's foul-mouthed bedtime story. As Entertainment Weekly listed, Samuel L. Jackson recorded an audiobook version, "Reading Rainbow" star LeVar Burton read the book to raise money for charity, and German auteur Werner Herzog even voiced a recording that played at the New York Public Library.

Jen Garner's reading arrives via a Vanity Fair video, the same Vanity Fair she covers with a story about protecting her three children from the "scandal" of her breakup with Ben Affleck. We see Jen lounging by the pool as she reads off the f-bombs, even doing some very Actress Mom-like improv to illustrate soaring eagles:

"The eagles who soar through the sky are at rest, and the creatures who crawl, run, and creep;
I know you're not thirsty, that's bullsh-t, stop lying;
Lie the f--k down my darling, and sleep"

But maybe their dad's creepy back tattoo is keeping them up at night?

Does this story work, parents? Have you tried reading it to your own kids, or would you not dare, in case they started quoting it back to you?
