This is why you can't always trust the Internet.

Reports of Superman's death are always worth questioning, and they are greatly exaggerated in the case of actor Henry Cavill.

If you Google "Henry Cavill" -- which Henry Cavill apparently does -- as of Monday morning, his mini bio to the right side of the screen still reads "Died: March 3, 2018."

There's even a hyperlink on the "Died" that takes you to a page that currently looks like this:

Hopefully that will be changed at some point, since it seemed to alarm Henry Cavill, 34, who claims that he's still with us:

When you learn that you died 2 days ago....

It's awkward when the Internet just casually kills you off without notice. But these things happen. No idea why anyone would want to fake Henry Cavill's death, but obviously MustacheGate must be involved.

We don't often say this, but it's a good thing social media exists. Otherwise, fans might panic and think Henry Cavill really was dead. But as long as Cavill keeps updating his own official Instagram, he should be fine.

The "Justice League" star will next be seen in "Mission: Impossible - Fallout," which opens in theaters July 27th, 2018.
