A sea goddess has risen from the waters!

The first image of Amber Heard in "Justice League" as Mera, Queen of Atlantis and wife of Aquaman (Jason Momoa), was released on the movie's official Twitter account. She's depicted standing on a rocky shore, wearing her dark green aqua-armor and headpiece:

Mera will make her debut in "Justice League," though she will have a larger role in the standalone "Aquaman" movie. It's unclear what part she has to play in "Justice League," which recently wrapped filming, though her presence indicates at least an glimpse of Aquaman's underwater world.

Here's the official synopsis of "Justice League":

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

ss"Justice League" opens in theaters Nov. 17, 2017.
