We met Adult Groot in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1" and adorable Baby Groot in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2." Groot will next join the Guardians in "Avengers: Infinity War" and ... yep, he'll be Teen Groot. Hide the car keys!

If you saw the end credits of "Vol. 2" you got a sneak peek at moody, messy, video-game-loving Teen/Adolescent Groot. CinemaBlend had previously revealed that "Infinity War" would be set around four years after the events of "Vol. 2.," and Marvel boss Kevin Feige had said the Guardians would have "evolved slightly" by the time of "Infinity War."

The site recently talked to director James Gunn about Groot's status in "Infinity War," confirming he'll be the same size and age as the Groot of the "Vol. 2" credits.

CinemaBlend: Having seen the Infinity War footage at D23 and Comic-Con, Groot did look very similar to the way he looks in the post-credits scene...

James Gunn: He's exactly the same.

CinemaBlend: He is exactly the same.

James Gunn: That's exactly the Groot we designed for Infinity War.

CinemaBlend: So then that scene is set four years after...

James Gunn: Well, basically those are at the same time.

If you check out the poster for "Avengers: Infinity War," released during Comic-Con (instead of the footage the public wants to see), you can spot Teen Groot with the Guardians in the top left.

If you haven't had a chance to see Teen Groot yet, you can see him now on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, and Disney Movies Anywhere. Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" arrives on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on Aug. 22, with everything but the DVD packed with bonus features.

"Avengers: Infinity War" opens May 4th, 2018.
