Lionsgate still believes in the "I Can Only Imagine" team.

A follow-up to the 2018 hit Christian drama is currently in development. The Erwin brothers, Jon and Andrew, are working with producing partner Kevin Downes on the follow-up, which is titled "I Still Believe," THR reports. The upcoming film's script was penned by Jon Erwin and Jon Gunn.

"I Can Only Imagine" was a commercial success. It grossed more than $83.48 million at the domestic box office during its theatrical run. Meanwhile, its estimated budget was just $7 million, according to Box Office Mojo.

While "I Can Only Imagine" was inspired by the band MercyMe's song of the same name, "I Still Believe" takes a different approach. The film will instead center on real-life Christian singer Jeremy Camp's spiritual journey. As an artist, he has released 11 albums over the years and is a one-time Grammy nominee.

The Erwins and Downes are all producing via Kingdom. Production will start this spring.

"I Still Believe" is slated to open March 20, 2020.
