It's official: The "It" kids are pretty good at casting.

As "It: Chapter 2" gets closer to entering production, the cast has yet to be finalized. Warner Bros. is working on it, though; Bill Hader and James McAvoy are reportedly in early talks to join.

The two actors would play adult members of the Losers Club, according to Variety. The publication's sources say Hader would portray Richie while McAvoy would play Bill. Assuming negotiations pan out, that means the two would take up the baton from actors Jaeden Lieberher and Finn Wolfhard, respectively. The younger actors played the characters in 2017's "It."

Interestingly enough, when Moviefone sat down with the "It" cast in September 2017, Wolfhard named Hader as the actor he'd like to see take over his part. He seems to have called it perfectly, just like Sophia Lillis, who mentioned wanting to see Jessica Chastain join the sequel. The Academy Award winner is indeed set to star in "It: Chapter 2," just as director Andres Muschietti hoped.

The cast will need to be set in the coming months, because the sequel is expected to start production this summer ahead of its fall 2019 release. If the casting directors are scrambling, we encourage them to take another look at the kids' ideas.

"It: Chapter 2" is due out Sept. 6, 2019.
