Jack Black Stars as R.L. Stine in 'Goosebumps' Trailer

Halloween comes early with Jack Black as a creepy R.L. Stine in the first trailer for "Goosebumps."

Black conjures up a fictionalized version of the popular young adult horror novelist, keeping his scary characters literally under lock and key until a new neighbor boy (Dylan Minnette) who's smitten with Stine's daughter makes a terrible mistake and cracks open the author's "The Abominable Snowman of Pasadena."

"You've just release every monster I've ever created!" Black exclaims as the snowman rampages and general mayhem ensues.

The Sony picture hits theaters Oct. 16. See the trailer below.
