'Killing Eve' Season 2 Premiere Sets Series-High Ratings
"Killing Eve" is killing it in the ratings.
The drama reached an all-time record-high in the ratings for Sunday's Season 2 premiere, with 1.2 million viewers.
That's half a million viewers and a 67% rise from its previous high in the Season 1 finale. The premiere episode also doubled its average in the adults 18-49 demo, to a total of 327,000.
There are some big differences between the first and second seasons. Now, the show is being simulcast on both BBC America (its original home) and sister network AMC.
The show also got a ton of notice over the fall and winter, thanks to Sandra Oh hosting the Golden Globes and winning a Globe and a SAG Award for her performance.
The meteoric rise in ratings led AMC Networks to give the show an early renewal for Season 3.
It will be shepherded by another new showrunner, British writer Suzanne Heathcote ("Fear the Walking Dead"). She follows Season 2 executive producer Emerald Fennell, and Season 1's EP and series creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
