"Lucifer" is rising back from the dead. Netflix is picking up the drama for Season 4 after it was cancelled by Fox last month.

It's the second canceled Fox show to find life elsewhere; "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" was saved by NBC.

"Lucifer" is a DC Entertainment show produced by Warner Bros., which has a healthy relationship with Netflix. The streaming service had previously revived "Longmire," a former A&E show. And Netflix is order Warner Bros.' "Riverdale" spinoff, "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina."

The show, based on a character from the "Sandman" comics, was never a huge ratings hit, averaging just below 3.3 million viewers Live+Same Day in Season 3. But fans made a huge outcry when it was cancelled, starting petitions and voicing their passion for the show on social media.

"Lucifer" stars Tom Ellis as the titular fallen angel who works with the LAPD to catch criminals on Earth.
